Mise En Scène Posters was conceived with sustainability at the forefront of our operation alongside design.....
Our dream was to create a product that not only looks fantastic but also benefits the natural environment as much as it can. There is no denying the fact that paper consumption is not beneficial to the environment, we recognise that completely..... but if we could at least control that consumption and manufacture it in a way that is less damaging than the current alternative, that would be our first challenge.
And that is exactly what we did.... We have created a product which is created with FSC approved paper - this means this paper used in production has been approved by the Forestry Stewardship Council an organisation that follows one simple premise, "Forests for all, forever". Not only this but we select specialised inks that are not harmful to the natural environment and biodegrade when exposed to land. If for whatever horrendous reason a MES Poster ends up in the landfill, the inks will not damage that natural environment 🌏
We then took this challenge even further.....in the direction of packaging. Packaging has been contributing towards wasteful consumption massively and we wanted to take this head on. We have enforced strict protocols to ensure our entire packaging process is plastic free, our bubble wrap is cardboard, our packaging is cardboard and we use eco-tape made from recycled paper to wrap our products. Our entire packaging system can be recycled right away without having to take it apart! Cool right? ♻️
When you guys started calling for something to hang your drip prints in, we were tasked with another challenge. Typically, frames are made of wood so we thought although that isn't too bad for the environment, it still isn't right for us..... We found Polcore. Polcore is a material created from recycled poly-styrene, it is deemed the most sustainable plastic material since it can be recycled time and time again. Find out more information here - https://memory-box.co.uk/blog/a-guide-to-saving-the-world-from-walking-to-work-to-polcore-picture-frames/. Once we found this material we set out to find a UK manufacturer 🇬🇧 and we found one just down the M1!
These are just some of the measures we take to provide the most sustainable product we can to compliment your walls. This is a process that we take one step at the time, with ideas on the horizon to move into Dibond (Aluminium) prints.... Keep engaged to find out when these amazing prints drop 👀.
